Georgetown

G-town Bridge
Gates to the campus

Jessica and Abram ate two of the finest interns in DC- And yes all North Dakotans are pasty white.

Me and the interns took a quick trip to Georgetown-definitely the coolest part of DC. It is the oldest part of the city and has a great, quaint feeling. But since its the home of Georgetown University it is also really good for the college crowd. Georgetown's campus is also amazing.

Work is by far the highlight of my time in Washington. I walk up the capitol steps in the morning and realize how much has been decided and how central the capitol complex is to the way our country functions. On a typical work day, I get in at 8:45 in the morning and do some typical intern clerical work. After about an hour of busy work, I begin my projects, working closely with the legislative staff mostly on the issues of oil, alternative energy, and banking (which has taken over my work life). The staff is great and really and it is a good group of interns as well. There are 3 full time interns and 4 part timers: almost all of them go to George Washington George Mason or Georgetown.
